Meredith Dairy Pty Ltd.
Meredith Dairy milks all year round and is the largest on farm producer of sheep and goat milk in Australia. Meredith Dairy's specialty Cheeses & Yoghurts are sold throughout Australia and exported around the world.
The owners, Sandy and Julie Cameron have extensively researched animal husbandry, cheese making techniques, and sustainable agriculture practises. Sandy, (a qualified Veterinarian) has focused his research in sheep & goat reproduction, in particular year round production. In 1985 Sandy received his doctorate in Philosophy. Ongoing Research and Development is extremely important in Meredith Dairy's future, enabling us to continually develop our products and sustainability.
The Cameron family have been rewarded with numerous awards for both their dairy products and their entrepreneurial farming. These awards include an Australian "Grand Dairy Award" a "Farm of the year Award" and "Landcare" awards.

This hand made soft blue cheese is matured in controlled conditions and
develops exquisite earthy but mild blue mould flavours reminiscent of
the French Roquefort cheese.

Inspired by French farmhouse Brie we have developed a white mould
ripened ewe milk cheese. Served at room temperature when young, the
cheese is mild, but when fully mature the cheese has a pleasant earthy
flavour and ooze texture.

Caprini means "baby goat" in Italian, indicating its origin. The small
thimble shape has a protective white mould rind but a firm dry texture.
The taste is initially mushroomy but let the flavour linger and a clean
mild citrus taste is apparent.

Feta was traditionally made from sheep & amp; goat milk by
shepherds and stored in salt. Meredith Dairy has used this ancient
technique to make this cheese. Best described as having a firm yet
sliceable texture with a mild salty taste.

Curd taken from the cheese vat with in hour of production is used to
make these fresh cheeses The Blanc is made by ladling the soft curd
into individual cheeses. The "Fromage Frais" is drained in cheese cloth
sacks. Described as creamy and delicate with a subtle hint of citrus.

Made from goats milk, this cheese is soft and creamy with a distinctive
fresh flavour. The traditional ash coating protects the surface and
gives an attractive appearance. The Pyramid looks stunning on a cheese
board accompanied with fruit pastes.

This soft, fresh cheese is pure white and exhibits a clean, fresh
almost citric flavour. The clean fresh finish is attributed to the
exquisite high quality milk used to make the cheese. Chevre is probably
the most versatile of all cheeses.

The Meredith Dairy Yoghurt is made in the traditional pot set method,
using Probiotic and Traditional Cultures. Ewe's milk is rich, high in
milk solids and has a delicate flavour. Sheep milk yoghurt offers
people with an aversion to cows milk. "A healthy Alternative."
